The Mayor's Recognition Awards 2025

In the ballroom of Ashbourne Town Hall, The Mayor, Cllr Sandra Spencer welcomed over 80 people to the annual awards The Mayor's Annual Recognition Awards are eagerly anticipated by both Councillors and Staff, and it is one of our events in the calendar that we all look forward to. This year marks 5 years since COVID and the lockdown which saw many members of our community looking out for and helping many of our vulnerable citizens of our town, but do not think this was a one-off, the community spirit lives on in Ashbourne and we are pleased to say that every year we get the most remarkable nominations from our schools, churches, groups and Ashburnian's, many of these remarkable people would go unnoticed and under the radar, and that is why we love this evening to celebrate their kindness, generosity of spirit, generosity of their time tenacity and in a lot of cases their sheer hard work!
