HOW LONG SERVED ON THE COUNCIL:
I joined Ashbourne Town Council in July 2011, and previously served from 1979 – 2003.
BIT ABOUT YOURSELF IE: FAMILY, WORK, HOBBIES ETC:
I was born and brought up in Ashbourne, and have been married to Joan for 58 years in May 2017. We have 6 children, and 14 grand-children. I have been Mayor of Ashbourne 4 times, and was the Chairman of Derbyshire Dales District Council 2006/7.
COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT IE: SCHOOL GOVERNOR, OTHER COMMITTEE INVOLVEMENT:
I am a member of the Shrovetide Committee, and goaled a ball in 1974. I also"turned up" the ball in 1990. I am on the QEGS Friends PTA (QFPTA), and also a representative for Ashbourne Community Transport.
WHAT CAN YOU DO TO IMPROVE THE COMMUNITY:
I want to keep Ashbourne moving forward, and I will listen to the people of the town & to their concerns.
