Come in to Ashbourne Visitor Information Centre and take a look at our mini Shrovetide exhibition with pictures and balls from years gone by, and learn more about this historic event and talk to one of the current ball painters.

Call on our knowledgeable staff, or if you’re in the area call in to pick up guidebooks, leaflets, souvenirs, or simply local knowledge!
Our Visitor Information Centre provides a range of services which includes a comprehensive selection of local books and maps in addition to walking leaflets and guides, plus a large range of free leaflets about attractions and events for both Ashbourne and the Peak District. Brochures are also available for your next destination.

We are ticket agents for Buxton Opera House and sell discounted pre-show tickets for many of our local traditional events. If you are looking for a place to stay our staff will be able to assist you with accommodation availability.
