Town Hall Renovations
Work will soon be starting on the front of the Town Hall. The scaffolding has gone up, and the green safety netting has been taken down.  As well as addressing the stone work, the windows to the front of the Town Hall will also be repaired and have secondary glazing installed. The front doors will be moved forward (to their original position) and secondary glass doors will be put in.  The work is due to be complete by October, and the contractor is currently sourcing the stone  from Stanton Moor quarry.  To see photos of the progress with these works, please click on the following link:  Renovations

Please note that during renovations to Ashbourne Town Hall, both the building and the Visitor Information Centre are open as usual.  The Visitor Information Centre is open Monday-Saturday 10am-5pm and Sunday 10am-4pm.

The Historic Georgian Derbyshire Market Town of Ashbourne lies in the lovely valley of the Henmore on the southern edge of the Peak District. It has a population of approximately 7,800 people. It is famous for its Royal Shrovetide Football Match which is played throughout the town on Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday.

Ashbourne Town Council have now opened their Application for Funding for the 2019/2020 financial period.  The aim of this is to encourage and foster local clubs, groups and organisations within the Council area by making provisions within their budget to grant aid to voluntary bodies for projects that help to make the community a better place to live, work & visit.  For full details of the policy and an application form please see the links below:

The consultation on Ashbourne’s Neighbourhood Plan has now ended.  To view the plan please visit http://www.ashbourneplan.org/
