The Historic Georgian Derbyshire Market Town of Ashbourne lies in the lovely valley of the Henmore on the southern edge of the Peak District. It has a population of approximately 7,800 people. It is famous for its Royal Shrovetide Football Match which is played throughout the town on Shrove Tuesday and Ash Wednesday.
Town Hall Renovations
Work is now well under way on the front of the Town Hall. As well as addressing the stone work, the windows to the front of the Town Hall are being repaired and secondary glazing installed. Please note that during renovations to Ashbourne Town Hall, both the building and the Visitor Information Centre are open as usual. The Visitor Information Centre is open Monday & Friday 10am-1.30pm and tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 10am-1pm.
